Classification and use of clamp meters

According to the structure and use, it can be divided into transformer type clamp meter and electromagnetic clamp meter.Transformer type clamp meter: It is composed of a current transformer and a rectifier system instrument. It can only measure AC current, and a clamp meter is commonly used.Electromagnetic clamp meter: The deflection of the movable part has nothing to do with the polarity of the current, and it can measure both AC and DC.According to the measurement principle, it can be divided into average response clamp meter and true effective value clamp meter.Average response clamp meter: measures the average value and then multiplies the sine wave form factor to correct it to the effective value.True RMS clamp meter: directly measures the RMS according to the root mean square algorithm. If the measured signal is seriously distorted or the measured signal is not a sine wave signal at all, the measurement data of the two meters will be very different.In general, average response clamp meters can only te
